I am in the process of saving up for a 3sgte, but my car is automatic. I am going to switch it to a manual before i get the 3sgte...just because i hate driving an auto....but would it work to just try and buy a 3sge or another higher power transmission and put that on my 5sfe motor until I can get my 3sgte. I also want to upgrade my suspension and brakes and other stuff before i get that 3sgte power in my car.

i will be doing almost all of the labor myself, and my auto is kinda not shifting right since i put on my short ram. I dont think the guy that had the car before me drove it right. He probably raced it alot...dont know, but i do want an 3sge tranny for sure. I just have to wait to find one. Oh, and i will be getting the 3sgte from a 5th gen clip. Dont want to mess around with switching an awd or rwd tranny. I can wait for the stuff that i want, that way i have no regrets.
