Got in the car this morning to find the windscreen washers weren't working! I've checked the washer bottle for screen wash and it's full. When I press the button for the washers, I can't hear the motor running. Could this be a blown fuse somewhere or is the motor in the washer bottle shot? Anybody know?

I wasn't sure how much a new motor would cost so I took mine to pieces and found lots of corrosion on the internal circuit board. cleaned it off and heated up the solder again so it would connect again and its worked fine ever since.
I originally found that when I squirted the rear window the front wipers would also go, this cured that as well. but yeah it could be a fuse, but I would think that it would use the same fuse that your wipers use so if they work then its probably something similar to mine. |
