Can you hook up Subs and Amp to a 97 Celica ST Limited Edition, with CD player and cassette and 4 speakers (pretty sure I have 4 speakers, dont know yet, just got the car). I dont really want to change the head unit, but how do you get preamp out puts for the amp then?

he's wrong, most amps have a high input, you take it right from the rear speaker feed, you can hook them up to ANY system
