So i have a 95 st with just over 170,000 miles. I've only had the car for about 10k miles and changed the oil 3 times with cheap conventional oil.
Seeing as i want to switch to synthetic oil i was planning on buyin a couple of cans of motor flush and putting that through during my next oil change to get out the conventional crap, do you think it would be worth it? Thanks! |

Yeah you may find oil leaks or you burn it as it may go up past the rings into the combustion chamber. I personally would use engine flush as it can be very harsh (being a concentrate) and it can dislodge crap from the engine and it could get trapped in an oil gallery. Best thing to use IMO is diesel oil of the same grade. It has stronger detergents than petrol engine oil. It wont be harsh on ur engine and you just run it for a few thousand miles and change it and do it over again a few times until it come out pretty clean. It may take up to 6 months depending on car usage, then every say 20 000 give it a diesel flush to keep it all clean.
