when setiing off from the lights, espesially in the wet, my celica just wheelspins badly, all the way up to the rev limit in 1st and sometimes also in 2nd! Ive tried 2 sets of tires and always have the same problem, and have never had this problem in any of my previous cars.what can i do to help stop this, and suspension mods? Its a basically standard st202 GT, check my profile for more info. Any help would be appreciated, Sam

I have similar issues in my GT very slick, and when autocrossing I have big issues when turning tends to slide straght when on the gas, with toyo proxi tires. you can try wider tires, but check alignment and camber, could be that your not getting the full tire flat and straght on the groud. can also try a softer compond tire but they ware faster.

QUOTE(creis @ Aug 2, 2007 - 4:14 AM) check alignment and camber, could be that your not getting the full tire flat and straght on the groud. Good point. Also make sure all the tires are correctly inflated - under- or over-inflated tires will reduce your grip and you can't always tell just by looking at them. With factory-fitted wheels, the appropriate psi is usually 35 or 36 and is printed on the drivers' door jam. You'll need to adjust this value for aftermarket wheels. -------------------- Davey
