when setiing off from the lights, espesially in the wet, my celica just wheelspins badly, all the way up to the rev limit in 1st and sometimes also in 2nd! Ive tried 2 sets of tires and always have the same problem, and have never had this problem in any of my previous cars.what can i do to help stop this, and suspension mods? Its a basically standard st202 GT, check my profile for more info. Any help would be appreciated, Sam

With my 3S-GE still in the car I had some traction issues with my old rims+tyres (Avon ZZ3 215/45/17) When I got my new rims with the Toyo Proxes T1-R no problems at all. But BTW why launch at 5k rpm? I've done it (still old engine) at 3k rpm and launched very good in the dry.
Tyres are everything here. What tyres do you have under the Celi. In the wet I once pulled into from 1st to 4th gear with wheelspin but this was with the GTE installed and also a one time in a life thing. If you have money to spend.
