Hello my 94 celica GT has gone from running *only* at idle to not firing at all it is dead in the water. I have checked for spark and fuel both are there. I even installed new fuel injectors with no luck. So I am wondering if the MAP sensor can act like this when it goes out?

-I tried reading the codes after changing the fuel injectors and what I got was constant blinking check engine light, which I don't believe means anything. Then I disconected the Map sensor and hooked it back up and tried to start the vehicle with no luck and did the code reading one more time. This time I got a 31 which I believe is related to the MAP sensor, now I don't know if I got the code because I had just disconnected it and hooked it back up or if it is the problem???? ANy thoughts....

-Also they are very expensive so I was hoping to pick up a test sensor or two out of a junkyard, now I need to know what years and models of vehicles Toyota made that would have this same sensor? I know I won't find any 94 celicas in our junkyard, maybe a few of there trucks?????? THanks guys

whooo slow down killa i know you wanna get it running but plz quit assuming things thats just gonna wast time and money......for one im guessing you are getting a spark right? MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SPARK ON THE SPARK PLUG.....dont ASSUME you do just becuz you changed spark plugs and/or wires, second, like 6strngs said map senser...but dont go off buying things till you know what you are doing.....you wanna wast money share some with me, i got alot to do on my celica,.........but back to you, first find and locate the problem then solve, basic math.......let us know more

definately! if it ain't broke then don't fix it. it's better to do a test to see if something is working before starting to replace things. chances are that your injectors were fine. probably your spark plugs and wires too if they were fairly new.

edit: ok if map is ok then just as i mentioned CHECK i repeat CHECK for a spark DONT...DO NOT ASSUME you do just cuz you replaced a few things...............you mentioned above you have spark but guy said could be distrebutor<<<<<<<<<<is the injrctors actually squirting fuel into cylinders?......DO NOT ASSUME!!!!!!! check>>>>try starting it the pull out spark plug and see if its wet with fresh fuel or smells fersh......if it is then you have no spark.....if there is no sign of fuel then fuel is not getting in there witch all means either way distrebutor....BUT FOR HEAVEN SAKES QUIT ASSUMING THINGS.........if you wanna be stupid then pull off a spark wire from spark put your finger in spark wire and start her up......let us know how it goes

before you go blowing time and money check to see if its the coil, check to see if its distrebutor, check to see if its distrebutor cap...............if your going to buy all this damn useless stuff that is still good mite as well swap engins too................toyota is NOT a damn ford everything DOSE not need to be replaced

if you are getting a spark and fuel is getting to cylinders then someone put sugar in your gas tank or maybe you dont have enough gas or maybe ou put in wrong fuel or maybe you used a water hose and filled tank up with water<<<<<lol what ever the case STOP STOP STOP ASSUMING>>>>>FIND & LOCATE then SOLVE
