i installed my in dash cd dvd palyer and was woundering bout that little silver box just below the a/c unit, can it be pulled out and tossed or do i still need it isnt it just a stock amp? i wanna get rid of all useless weight

I have the 8 speaker setup and I removed the stock amp and I still run all 8 speakers off the stock deck no problem. Just wire them in series and you won't blow anything up, they just get less power.

Nothing will blow and you are right.... there won't be any problems.. it just sounds like complete crap.... Well.. compared to a full 8 channel setup.... -------------------- -M-
