Ok, here's whats going on. After using the gas pedal, when I disengage the clutch, sometimes my RPM's stay up anywhere from 1500 to 3500. If I just tap the pedal, it goes back down to normal idle speed. I figured my cable or something in the throttle body was getting worn out. With the car off, I went and messed with the throttle from inside the engine bay, and it was perfectly fine. With the engine on, I can feel the resistance. I sprayed WD40 on the TB, that did nothing. I checked to see if the cruise control was messing with it, and nope. So now I come to you 6gc. What's going on?

I had the same problem on my car, but some carb cleaner/WD40 sprayed into the TB took care of it. Just make sure you clean the TB and intake valve really well (keep spraying and wiping with paper towels until the towels wipe clean). Over time, gook can build up on the intake valve and keep it from opening and closing smoothly, so you just gotta remove all the gook.
