Who has what and how do you like it????
im thinking of changing from a center sprung 6 pluk disc to a non center sprung one because my spec stg 3 clutch spat out a few of its disc springs last week....... Its been less than a year and i dont do hard driving even the mech. was surprised. Justin from spec said that he could do another disk with thicker metal on it to prevent the springs from leaving the disc but also suggested i go with a non center sprung disc to totally avoid the problem....... ive been told that without the center sprung disc ill get chattering later on, not to mention a much harsher 1 and 2 and possible 3rd gear as well. but of course i wont have to worry about the springs poping out again. or should i just go with a thicker metal on the disc to keep the springs in? and risk it happening again??? id like to hear personal testimony from ppl who have had a non center sprung and how they like or dis like them. thanks much in advanced ps heres a pic of my current disc ![]() This post has been edited by urbandork: Aug 10, 2007 - 1:44 PM |

spec said they would replace it but seeing as the metal holding in the springs would wear out anyway im trying out a non sprung disk and if i dont like it im going to go with an act set up as im not happy with spec's clutches at all.... the stg 2 for the 3s had a lot of problems as well.
