ok this is probably stupid but i thought i ask anyway. I talked to some guy to day (mechanic) and apparently he said that when doing a 3s conversion you need to make it AWD otherwise the gt4 gearbox is useless kindasad.gif . Im pretty sure we dont have to make it AWD and can still use the gt4 gear box with just two front wheels thus GT2. Is he bull or is he cool??

you can use the GT4 gear box but you have to modify it for FWD (it sux)
you can't just not hook up the rear

you can use either the MR2/Solara E-153 tranny (already FWD)
or the Toyota (94-99) GT 5sfe tranny (also comes from a camry)

I thought the 5sfe's cant handle the load and will break enventually. ? I might just go with a redtop beams, does anyone know where i can find one? been searching for hours but no luck...
