 Installing a Head Unit, With Factory Amp |

This is my first time attemping something like this. I have the harness and a friend to help. But can anyone tell me how to access the wires with the factory amp? What panels do I have to remove and what do I do about the wires with the factory amp? Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially a how-to step-by-step article.

With all due respect AudioFreak, it is not that simple - at least it wasn't with my car! The plug that you need to plug into with your wiring harness is UNDER the amp and mine was held in place by a plastic fastener. I firmly believe that you have to remove ALL the parts that I mentioned in my above post to access the factory wiring plug. Maybe Toyota made them a little different for the different years or models but my 99GT required that I remove all those parts. |
