Hey guys I got an NA ST 7afe n i was just wondring about advancing my timing. I know that you can gain some hp in the wheels, but is it good for the car? Also, how exactly can u advance your timing? Can a local shop do it for you? Does fuel octane have a minimum for maximum power? Thanks in advance! haha

no need to have a shop do it. you just need a $50 timing light (or borrow a friend's), and a 12mm socket with wratchet. if you don't have that, you could probably do it with a 12mm wrench. you just need to loosen one bolt, spin the distributor, and tighten the bolt back up.
