I guess after using the key in the door and ignition for several years, both the key and the locks get worn down, but the seldom used locks such as the trunk and glovebox remain fresh and so after a while, the eroded key won't work. See if you can find a spare key and make a copy of it, or even make a copy of the old key, I did and now I can open all of my locks. |
