So I'm in DeKalb, Illinois (going to Northern Illinois University). This weekend, the river flowing through the town flooded from lots and lots and lots of rain. My apartment complex was completely surrounded by flood water. I'd say about 60% of the parking lots were knee deep in water. My car happened to be in this knee deep water.
So i pushed the car out of the water and into a dry parking spot. I got out all of the standing water (about 4 inches worth) and let it sit for a solid day. Yesterday I tried starting the car. It won't turn over. It cranks and cranks and cranks, but it won't turn over. I tried jump starting it, I checked the spark plugs/wires. Any other ideas as to what might keep it from turning over? I've been in my apartment since Thursday night because we weren't able to go anywhere outside the complex. I'm going insane!!! Thanks in advance for any input. -------------------- ![]() |
