I now owe 300 more bucks to the parents cause a bolt snapped that held the bracket that held the alternator.

And the serpentine belt is needing replacement cause its fraying even though there are less tha 5000 miles on it.

btw, the 300 bucks is labor to get to the dang bolt which costs probly 2 bucks.

Sounds like could have been a DIY job - provided you have access to a drill and means to tap the screw.

Was the belt done by you, or a shop? If it was a shop I'm sure they would cover the cost on that.
