can some one explaine why i need this?

That is for your Cruise Control that is the motor that holds your throttle open so you dont need your foot on the peddal.
now you got to see if you have the buttons on you stearing wheel  -------------------- Ok Gladys, lets play house, you be the door and I'll shut you.
