Just recently I have noticed a high pitched metalic screaching sound coming from the transmission somewhere. The sound is faint (loud music/exhaust probably drowned it out before I noticed it) and only occurs occasionaly but only when downshifting.
I cannot feel any difference in performance but the sound does not sound healthy! Btw I took the car to mechanic, but as with most intermittent mechanical sounds, it never occured when he was in the car! ![]() Any ideas?
