Hi, I've finished my swap and i'm riding my engine for the beginning not over 5k rpm. The problem is that I read on the gauge only 7 or 8 psi... is the boost higher in higher rev?? I have no any code on the computer so this is apparently not the f&$% code 54 ...

My engine: ST185RC JDM with no modification (stock bov, stock intercooler)

Thanks!!

a bit off topic, i know that the RC ecu allows boost of up to 1.1bar instead of .83 bar but is it plug and play and are all RC ecu tuned at 230bhp or just the JDM's. thanks

normal st185 ecu runs 10psi stock and has fuel and timing maps for 12psi with a 12psi fuel cut. it also has maps for 14 and 16psi, but for some reason, they were locked out by toyota (probably due to the crappy stock intercooler).

the RC ecu also runs 10psi stock, but has fuel cut at about 16-17psi, because of the much better intercooler. this would leave me to believe that those last 2 fuel/timing maps were also enabled.

its not a plug and play upgrade, and you would also need the RC afm. a better idea would be to get a rom tune from ATS, since they unlock those high boost fuel/timing maps when they do the tune. or wait untill usertunable rom tunes become a reality (hopefully very soon! ).
