well, i just recently bought a neon strut bar off of ebay...came to like $18 and wasnt to happy with it when i first got it because i had to pre fab my own 3 holes...none lined up at all....but anyway i got it taken care of and it fit nice and snug....it's actually quite nice and it looks good in the engine bay.....anyway...after puttin it on and driving around with it for a while now i noticed the car is much tighter...so much that i cant take turns as fast as i use to because my @ss end is kickin out...never noticed this before i put it in.....so now im thinkin do i take it back out because it was better with it out and i could stay into the turn?? or do i get either a rear sway bar or a rear strut bar to cancle the front one out.....has anyone noticed or fixed this problem who has had one of these strut bars put in may it be a trd front strut bar or just a regular neon one?? im defentally gettin somethin in the @ss end but would a sway bar be too much or can a rear strut bar fix the problem? also where to go to get a rear strut bar if that is the case? i had a big bag of sement put in the back of my car too and that help fix the problem with the extra weight back there but i dont want to lug that around with me all the time...any sugestions? thanks

QUOTE(1bwilson @ Sep 6, 2007 - 4:47 PM) You realize you started this thread asking for suggestions and since then have shot down and belittled anyone actually trying to help you out. The simple fact is that strut bar isnt helping you or hurting you. Your driving is, you drive to fast and take turns way to fast. 75 mph might not be a insane speed to drive at on a freeway with everyone else but your claiming to do that speed on ramps leading any one of us to believe your doing much more then that on a straight road. You havent been on this site long enough to realize that some of these people offering help are actually trying to help. Others just think your cement idea is a good way to get our daily laugh in. If your actually THAT concerned with the way your car is taking turns you would have spent the real cash for a real strut bar. Sway bars and a rear strut bar will help also but no matter how stable you make you car, unless you pair it all up with a decent spring/shock settup and good tires, something is going to give when you take turns at 75mph. If your not willing to take suggestions then dont bother asking for them. but i dont understand how/where/when i drive has anything to do with what im talking about...maybe thats the reason im getting a little upset...because people are bringing up things that are completely irrelavent to what i asked....sorry i havent been on the forum for as long as you but that doesnt mean i am unfamilar with cars and the way they handle....to me at 1 in the morning with no one on the road..75-80 mph seems like a safe speed....suspension/springs/tires is exactly what i need but this strut bar is defintally doing something to the way the car performs -------------------- ![]() I"M NOT A TOYOTA FAN, IM A FANATIC 1984 accord hatch 5 speed (T-Belt)-Junkyard 1991 VDUB jetta wolfsburg Ed. 5 speed (clutch)-junkyard 1988 Dodge Aries K (sold) 1969 Chevy El camino - Traded for celica 1991 Dodge Daytona-Traded for Celica 1988 Chevy Camaro-Work in Progress 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 - For Sale 1995 Toyota Celica-Work in Progress |
