Never go Maaco, can you say"rape"

5sfeTurbo View Member Profile Enthusiast Joined Apr 14, '03 Currently Offline Reputation: 0 (0%)	Man, I went to maaco to get a quote on a paint job on a 4 piece body kit(not the whole car) and to remove a SLIGHT dent in my door he definatley quoted $1100!!! I luaghed and said thanks but no thanks. Id rather buy 30 cans of spray paint and a Ding King and call it a day. Just a heads up, they wanted blood.

I think you misunderstood what I was getting at dude... when I made that comment, I was going off the premise that people assume that putting more money into a car will increase its value... but as we all know, this is not the case.

However, when you put more into a house, the value will appreciate, not depreciate... My comment was supposed to reflect the fact that people would find it more worthwhile to dump their money into a house rather than on a car. I hope that's clear enough for you.

And believe me, I know what it's like to spend money on a car. I'm on my 4th paint job, and invested a lot (maybe more than you) of money into my project. I know that ignorance is bliss, but before you go off making comments like you did, please make yourself more familiar with the members is this community.

For the record... I'm a computer programmer and a UI designer for a respectable company...

wow okay, I totally saw it a different way. My bad, and even my response itself did read pretty witty, but I was just making a point. The McDonalds thing was a general statement, "If someone can't afford it, they should find a better job" <--shoulda worded it like that. The You was impersonal (Or however its called by the English rules).

And yea, I agree wholeheartedly. A car is never an investment (unless its a supra lol).
