So,there is a guy in my area selling a 94 ST Coupe 5-speed with a 7afe that claims has rod knock, the body has zero rust and only 1 small dent in the fender that I can bust out in 5 minutes... Would it be worth ripping the motor apart and spending 4-8 hours and $40 or buying a whole new motor? He wants $1,000 for the car and will tow it to my house.
There is also a 1992 Paseo for sale with the same problem for only $200 but it's an automatic... I just want some suggestions... I want to learn motors a little bit better and I definitely should have become a mechanic as well as an I.T. guy...lol...right now my engine is being rebuilt and I am trading a computer system I built for the labor ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
