OK i have a 1994 coupe with a 4 stereo set up now,i am planning on putting a sub box to house some kinda subs in the truck,i was wondering is there really a big difference between the 4, 6, and 8 speaker set up?Can i buy the door panels, and the other panels that are made for the 8 or 6 speaker set up if i wanted to convert?I would really like to see some pics of all the different sound set ups!

I just got a new head unit installed and previously had 2 really good Focal 6 1/2 in the rear and 2 Focal 5 1/4 on the bottom in the front. I have an 8 speaker setup.
The guy at car toys told me it would sound better to just not run the 4in. speakers in the mid door panel b/c they are stock, so he didn't wire them up to the head unit. My question now is...when the guy installed my new head unit today he hooked the 4's back up...which I didn't want. Now I get way too many highs and mids than I wanted. How do I go about unhooking the 4's? Do I take the door panels off and just simply unhook them and tape em up? |
