Only some 5sfe blocks match up to 3sgte heads. You would have to do some research to ensure you have the right combo. With that said, if you try to toss in a 5sfe block after you have already worked the kinks out of a 3s swap and wireing I would say you should have less headaches then someone w/o already doing the 3sgte swap before hand. The 5s block built for boost is like a stroked 3sgte block. You just have to make sure you have valve clearence and all the water jackets match up. There is much more to it then those 2 examples but they are a good idea of what kinds of things youll deal with.
Im buiding/built a 5sfe to run boost on, block is built for boost with 8.5:1 pistons with 3sgte rods already. If I run into issues with the 5sfe head I plan on going the 5sgte route also. -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe
