ok so a couple weeks ago my friend n i installed my new kyb gr2's with ground control coilovers. well, u know how the stock springs are really wide in diameter compared to ground controls? well there was like a cover that was on the top of each of the front springs and when i put them back on the new setup, they wiggled. now they make a lot of noise. wut should i do? iono if itll b ok if i take off the covers....thx for the help in advance.

A cover over the spring? Or the shock? I never had any kind of cover over my springs.
Wait, unless you mean the top part for the clamping? Where the nut bolts the spring down to the shock. Is that what you are talking about? In that case, are you sure you got the right ground controls? Or did you install the rear springs on the front and vice versa? -------------------- |

Or did you install the rear springs on the front and vice versa? that might b wut im talkin about. im sure i got the right ground controls because the first ones i was sent were for a 2000 celica(it said on the sticker on the box) and so i called to get the right ones sent to me. so, they sent me the right ones (94-99 celica). in the box they were divided into 4 sections with a coilover and top hat in each section. i looked at the diagram that came with it and im pretty sure that we put the right ones in the right places. i wasnt sure which springs went where so i looked at where the flat top hats go and where the pointed ones go. im pretty sure we have them in the right places. we had to grind the struts a little bit in the back in order for the coilovers to slide on also. is that wut is usually required? |
