QUOTE(y2komar @ Sep 20, 2007 - 1:47 AM) Let me ask something. I about to swap my 5sf to the 3s. Once the swap is complete, lets say I blow the motor, like crack the block or something like that. How much more work would it be to replace the 3s block with the 5f. Cause in that case I would not get rid of the 5sfe. I would keep the 5sfe period, so that just in case (heaven forbid) you blow up the entire 3s you would have a back up. When you do the swap, compare the 3s head gasket to the 5s block. Everything should match, the only thing that might mot would be the water jackets, and that's a simple thing to fix. What transmission are you gonna use? if you stick with your 5s's tranny then no problem if you have to swap the blocks in the future. If you're gonna use the 3s's then you will have to swap back to the 5s's if you swap blocks. (unless you fabricate an adapter, don't know yet if that would work though, just rambling abit) In other words, just keep the 5s. It looks cool sitting in a garage ![]() -------------------- ![]() CLOSED on 25 acres! -shop coming soon.... |
