So the Canadian dollar finally hit par with the American dollar, been a few decades since that happened last. I sure like it right now for ordering Celica parts in the States. It sure has been saving me some big dollars on my American orders.
It sure sucks though on the business side. It is absolutely killing my company. Since I work in the oil industry and everything is based on the price of the barrel of oil in US dollars. Even though the price of oil is up over $80 per barrel, we are still losing big money since our conversion rate has gone down hill. For ever cent the Canadian dollar gains our company lose $25 million. Anyways, good to see the Canadian dollar at par for personal gain. -------------------- |
