I want to get a GPS but I don't really know much about them. I am currently looking at these:

Garmin - nüvi 370 GPS Receiver with Traffic Update Capabilities

TomTom - GO 720 Portable GPS Receiver with 4.3" LCD Touch Screen

What i like about them is that they have traffic updates
Take you turn by turn
and have MP3

Any suggestions on which one or if you recommend a different one?

how did it save u tickets???

In Norway we have this kind of thing, called a automatic traffic-control, or foto-box.

It takes pictures of speeding cars, and on Norwegian roads, going through mountains, on empty roads, it is easy to hit the throttle. Every one of these boxes are placed in the GPS, and gives a warning a couple of hundred meters in front. Lifesaving for my wallet!

that's what we need in US but our boxes have wheels and move around all the time ( police cars ) lol imagine if the police cars would show on the GPS so you see them ahead of time. then that would be sweet lol
