ST185 with CT20B? Options

Will a 3sgte ST215 with a CT20b from a ST205 be as powerfull as a stock ST205?

If not, what else will I have to change?

a ct20b on an st185 will give you very similar power levels as the st205. the only thing the st205 would have on you is a more aggressive exhaust cam. you can put a single cam gear on the exhaust side and retard it by 6deg, and get similar or better performance.

I`m gonna have to disagre with that one I`m afraid, simply putting a ct20b onto a 185 will do hardly anything to the power of the 185. It would however give you a bit more potential. You would have to crank the boost up to st205 levels (0.9 bar), then you would have to think about changing the crap 185 head gasket for a metal st205 head gasket. there are many subtle differences between the st185 and st205`s. The 185 inlet system is crap with the afm, the cams are less agressive, the ECU map in a 185 is less agressive the head dosnt flow quite as well....the list goes on.

To get a 185 to 205 levels you would have to get a new ECU such as a Blitz Access ECU or Power FC / Link or even wiring in an st205 ECU. bigger injectors from an st205 would help things out alot (dont go too big though as an under used injector can be just as bad if not worse than an over used injector), a boost controller of some sort, get rid of the AFM, and of course the turbo.

Then you should think about getting rid of the useless interwarmer from the 185 and fitting either a front mount or a chargecooler from an st205....then you might start to show power figures around the level of an st205.
