Component wiring question Options

Hello - first post here so be gentle with me, ok?!

I picked up a 97 GT 2 weeks ago today and have to admit i'm loving it so far, its a fair bit faster than the 1990 1.1L Fiesta that it replaced!! Looking to make it as nice as some of the ones i have been looking at round here but think it might take a while on my salary

anyway, i have bought two sets of speakers to replace the stock ones - a pair of JBL GTO6507C 6.5" components for the front and a pair of JBL GTO6527 6.5" co-ax for the rear. I'm aware that both the rears and the woofers in the front should just pop straight in so no worries there but i'm looking for advice on taking off the plastic in front of the wing mirrors so i can mount the tweeters where they are for the 8 speaker premium package - i'd imagine the sound engineers at toyota probably have the best idea on where to put them!! does this plastic just pop off or is it more involved?

While i'm here - i have wired in a 12" sub and 800Watt 4 channel amp in the boot and currently the wire from the battery sneaks in through the front door hinge (yuck!) and the wires are trailing through the car (even worse!), which is the best way to route these cables and how would i go about powering the rear speakers from the amp in the boot?

sorry for the long post - i have looked around to find answers and either my search skills are crap or this hasnt been covered before.

first things first, welcome!

as for the front componets: I went with infinity capa perfects up front, the sub does not fit right in, needs a spacer because the stock speaker there is 7" so its to big to fit the 6.5. I just cut a thin peace of wood out the diamitar of the stock speaker then cut a hole out of that the diamitar of the new speaker, makes a ring about an inch wide all the way around. as for the tweeters, mine was easy as I had the 8 speaker system to begin with (well had 6 speaker system then bought the premium door panels) that triangle just pops off I think, may have to take the door panel off to do it though, if you dont see a screw head on it then just pull gently and see what happens its easy whatever way it works not involved. are you saying you do have the 8 speaker system stock, then pull the tweeter covers off and then pry/break the stock tweeters of the metel mounting brakets, there very strongly glued if I remember right, My stock tweeter broke in half durring my fight to get it off. once off glue the new tweeter in its place and re asemble.

as for the rears best sound in my opinion would be to leave the rears on the deck power and just use the amp for the sub, because if you connect the rear speakers to the amp they will over power the front and it will not sound very good, also if you turn the volume down on the amp to even it out the sub will go down too. or depending on how much power the speakers can take use the 4 chennel to power the 4 speakers, fronts and rears and get a 2nd amp to run the sub

my setup is the capa perfects up from, infinity capa coax in the rears, and a 12" eclipse titanium powered by a 800watt pioneer mono amp (forgot the model number) sounded from what I remember (have not driven it in a year since the motor died)
