I just got done testing my mpg thinking it might be crappy since I read the 5s-fe runs rich and plus with the car being 'round 12 years old, but I was joyfully surprised to see I'm running 29+mpg city. (with ac running sometimes and having a heavy foot)
Just something to make me love my car alittle more, since I expected 24-. I'm curiouse though since I want to either add a turbo or swap to a 2nd gen 3sgte as to what my mpg would turn out to be. Who on here with either a 5s-fte or a 3s-gte swap (or the very few who have a 5s-gte) checked your mpg? Just really curious. (even if you don't have one of these set-ups you can still post your mpg ![]() -------------------- ![]() CLOSED on 25 acres! -shop coming soon.... |

stock 5sfe 99 GT w/ manual trans (odo. 95,000 mi.) 30-34 MPG
drive 50-65 mi. a day, some highway, some backroads use to get 30-32 MPG using 89 octane and a bottle of gumout injector cleaner or full fuel system cleaner from time to time / then I tried a different brand of full fuel system cleaner 1 time about 2 months ago and now I consistently get 33-34 MPG on 89 octane -------------------- |
