Hey guys, i was wondering if all headgaskets are the same? in bore size i mean, im looking into buying a metal head gasket and want to know if i need to specify that my block is bored 20 over (.020). I think im gonna buy an ACL one (the people that make bearings ;p) so can someone be so kind as to telling me what I have to torque the head bolts to? also should 1mm thick be fine or should i get a thicker one?

QUOTE(WALKER @ Oct 4, 2007 - 5:20 PM) Out of curiousity what are the differences between 5S-FE and 3S-GTE headgaskets. Can they be interchanged (i.e. can you use a 3S-GTE head gasket on a 5S-FE without modification?)? Anyone have pictures comparing the heads, blocks, gaskets of the two engines? ^ no they are not interchangable. 3sgte = 2.0l 5sfe = 2.2l cylinder diameter is different, so there for the HG has a different hole diameter. -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |
