Well, a friend of mine I went to basic training with called me out of the blue today....He remembered that i've been into celicas for quite some time, and asked me if I was interested in buying a 89 Celica GTS-T. The conversation went like this:

Him - "Hey man, you wanna buy my 89 Celica GTS-T?"
Me - "Um, if if its got what I think its got, then no, its probably to much"
Him - "Nah man, you're a friend, so it'll be decent price"
Me - "Alright, how much?"
Him - "$700!"
Me - "What's wrong with it?!"
Him - "Needs new axle, thats it!"
Me - "HOLY SH*T!!!"

That was the conversation, he sent me pics, its in almost mint condition, got a 3SGTE Engine. Runs fine, just needs a new axle. A friend of mine is going to put a new one on for me for $145 including labor.

so, a good car for $845 with the engine I want....HELLS YEAH!

Anyways, i'm excited. I might keep the car all together if its in as good of condition as he says it is..Or i might just put the engine in my 6g celica...I'll probably keep it together!

So..yeah, how awesome is that?

Oh yeah, I know. The guy i'm getting it from wouldn't BS me, I've known him for months. We've been through a lot of crap together.

My good friend is going up there with me, he knows everything about cars, his family runs a local import/tuner shop around here that specialize in Toyota, Nissan, and Honda.

The guy said it was his daily drive car up until he dicked up the axle , it has just been sitting there for a month or two now. I've seen the car run, he's been down here to Danville before and i've rode, and driven it.

I know the car itself smokes, but thats because the ball bearing, or whatever inside the turbo needs to keep spinning, because the second it stops, it smokes. (so one of my friends say). He had the same engine, and he said they were anonymous for smoking occasionally when the vehicle idles sometimes.
