Okay so I just bought my 1994 Toyota Celica GT and I am going to have a shop drop in the 3sgte motor. Right now I live in Marion county in Oregon and they dont require smog testing or anything like that. I was told that when I move here in the next few years that I may move to a place that doesnt allow cars to have motors in them that are older or that have been modified......is the guys wrong? I'm talking about when you go and get your car registered. Some places have to check the car out. Is this going to not go over well if I have a different motor? THanks

A majority of states don't even bother to come out and look at your car.
As long as you don't make it so obvious that you tell them its got a huge turbo and a big a55 NOS bottle you should be fine. If your one of those people who like to show off your car and talk 5hit about it. Good luck with registration. Just tell them its the same motor and everything else is just decoration to make your car look cool. |
