the torque converter does no shifting.
the torque converter just replaces the clutch setup and make a liquid connection with the engine, which lets you come to a stop and still be in gear. with a 5spd, you stop the wheels, you also stop the engine -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
