Well.. i bought my celica two julys ago and pretty much ever since i bought it, things have been going wrong with it. Up to date now, I've spent about $3500 to keep my car alive and drivable. Wednesday night, i was driving home around 9 PM, my car started to bogg down and idled low and didn't have much acceleration at all. My check engine light also came on and was flashing. By then, i pulled over and called my dad. My car is in the shop now and I'm sorry to say that i will be getting rid of the car if repairs are more than $300. Ive spent too much money on this car to fix it up and it never treats me right. Don't get me wrong, i love the car but i just can't afford to be putting all of this money into it while going to college. I'm just hoping that repairs aren't too expensive this time and I'll consider keeping it. Thanks for letting me rant, This has been on my mind all week and i needed to come out.

doing some of the work yourself could save you a bunch of money! brakes aren't that hard, it's like four bolts then you just pull the old pads out, put the new ones in, slide the rotor off and get it resurfaced/replace it and voila! takes like 20 minutes per wheel and it cost me less than $350 to replace all the rotors with cross drilled and slotted ones and to get high performance pads too.
