accident Options

1:30am: Taking a left turn onto a major road with a green arrow. red pickup coming from my left running a red-light doing 40 or so. i hit the brakes and ended up lightly t-boning him. no injuries on either side. guy was at fault, but cool about it. and cop was cool too, no attitudes with either of them.

only one really hurt is my baby, her front bumper got compressed and then ripped off sideways. i want to cry.

i just got back from dropping her off at the body shop with a rental pontiac grand-prix which seems pretty powerful, but handles like a boat. like all the chevy trucks i've driven it feels very touchy in the first bit of accel/brake travel.

i was thinking about karma last night as i was trying to sleep, and i'm not soo sure i believe in it anymore, not that this accident has had that sweeping an effect, but i was thinking that it might boil down to which proverb you believe in more:
"what goes around comes around"
or
"no good deed goes unpunished"

now is a waiting phase, worried that with the low retail value of the car that they'll just total her and i'll have to figure out quickly what to do (buy her back salvage, find another celica). just this summer i put like 1700 into reapirs for her.
