i am looking to boost my little 7a-fe to about 160-175 HP i love big the sound of a good BOV but i love getting put back in my seat as soon as i hit the gas as well. see my problem?? i know i can hit the HP i am looking for with a turbo at about 8.5-9.5 PSI what would it take for a super? and does any one have any suggestions on this? thanks for the helps guys/girls.

you do know whipple makes twin screw superchargers right?
that wouldn't work on a celica ![]() you need a centrifugal type supercharger like vortech. 2ndly you can use the stock intake manifold on the supercharger and the turbo setup. if you chose SC you'll have to figure out how to make a bracket to mount it in order to run the acc. belt around it. turbos you can get boost before 3,500 rpm it just depends what turbo you want to use. turbo will be the easiest and cheaper option as well as BOV is overrated, look into a by-pass valve such as one FORGE makes, it recirculates the excess charge keeping it in the system providing better/smoother performance, and yes it can still make a cool sound too This post has been edited by playr158: Oct 16, 2007 - 9:18 PM |
