				Hi I have a 99 celica ss3 There is a strange noise coming from the boot like the door is open but its not i have tryed everything and cant find the problem Would it be the shock mountings How would you know if they were gone?Can anyone help plsss

				there are two potential causes, judging from the sound and location - the strut bearings (the upper mounting plates) or the struts themselves.  i would replace them both.  if you car has alot of miles, it's not uncoomonj for the rear shocks to go out and make a "clunk" noise over bumps, my first celica did that. 
			
			if you can bounce the rear of the car while it's parked and hear unpleasant noises, it's likely the shocks. if you lay underneath the car and grab the sway bar, you shouldn't be able to move it at all...if it's loose, it could be the sway bar bushings or end links. good luck sorting it out! -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley?  |

Thanks uberschall i bounced the car when it was parked and its making squeeky noise not as bad as when i drive but its the same noise alright.My car is lowered but its very boucy on the back if i got coilovers would that solve my problem?  |
