Question for HL2 players, havent used steam for awhile...well..more like 2 years Options

So, i have Steam, Half-Life 2 and a few other Steam games installed on my computer from back when half life 2 came out, but ive went onto steams website within the last month *first time in like..a year*, and it now says that certain games, IE counterstrike soruce, you have to pay for now. My question is, when I update steam *havent done so, or used it for...almost 2 years now*, will i have to pay to be able 2 play the games i already have?..or will they just automaticly update?? Im just curious if im gonna need to pay to get counterstrike back and running again.

I honestly donno if my half life 2 will work or not because im pretty sure i had some part of the files deleted when my computer got cleaned up from a virus. I havent been able to try yet because after they cleaned up my computer, they put some firewall settins or something up, so i cant log onto MSN, Steam or go onto any secured site.

im plannin on buyin orange box cuz i just went through some all of my CD's i left back at my parents house, and i dont have any HL2 install cds here, and i only have 2 back at mine. So looks like im gonna have to buy it. Im gonna head over the boarder on Wensday and probably buy it then just cuz heres, our $ is better then the USD is right now, but Orange box is $60, 10 min across the boarder, its $50. So, now, i just gotta go back to best buy, get them to fix what ever they messed up b4, buy orange box cuz TFC2 looks awsome, and then ill probably be online again.
