Question for HL2 players, havent used steam for awhile...well..more like 2 years Options

So, i have Steam, Half-Life 2 and a few other Steam games installed on my computer from back when half life 2 came out, but ive went onto steams website within the last month *first time in like..a year*, and it now says that certain games, IE counterstrike soruce, you have to pay for now. My question is, when I update steam *havent done so, or used it for...almost 2 years now*, will i have to pay to be able 2 play the games i already have?..or will they just automaticly update?? Im just curious if im gonna need to pay to get counterstrike back and running again.

I honestly donno if my half life 2 will work or not because im pretty sure i had some part of the files deleted when my computer got cleaned up from a virus. I havent been able to try yet because after they cleaned up my computer, they put some firewall settins or something up, so i cant log onto MSN, Steam or go onto any secured site.

Hey wait! You don't need the install CD's to get the game, you can download it off Steam.

BUT

If you only have half life 2, you could get 4 new games from ORange Box which is what I did this morning

AND if you already have the original hl2, you can give it to a friend as a gift for free!

also, if you have steam, you can purchase things online, and i believe they use paypal so if you have paypal dollars you can use that
