Question for HL2 players, havent used steam for awhile...well..more like 2 years Options

So, i have Steam, Half-Life 2 and a few other Steam games installed on my computer from back when half life 2 came out, but ive went onto steams website within the last month *first time in like..a year*, and it now says that certain games, IE counterstrike soruce, you have to pay for now. My question is, when I update steam *havent done so, or used it for...almost 2 years now*, will i have to pay to be able 2 play the games i already have?..or will they just automaticly update?? Im just curious if im gonna need to pay to get counterstrike back and running again.

I honestly donno if my half life 2 will work or not because im pretty sure i had some part of the files deleted when my computer got cleaned up from a virus. I havent been able to try yet because after they cleaned up my computer, they put some firewall settins or something up, so i cant log onto MSN, Steam or go onto any secured site.

i know i already have CS:S and HL2, i cant remember if i got DOD or not..i dont think it had come out by the time i finsihed playing. But im saying i dont think HL2 is properly installed on my comp any more and i dont know where most of my install discs are. So im gonna have to go buy orange box now most likely. But eitherway, i wanna get Portal, the other HL2 episodes, and TFC2

Download steam and buy it online, you'll save taxes, and with all the updates , getting **** on CD is useless as everything you'll install you'll have updates to download anyway. Steam will download all the games you have automatically. And remember, now you pay cheaper than americans if you buy it on steam

too late...i already bought it tonight, my buddy was working on his last day at EB games, so i went, got the game for cost, and left..lol. What were they gonna do for giving me the game at cost? Fire my friend??..lol. I ended up gettin it for $32 with taxes. Now i just need to go back home, get my comp fixed *probably on wensday*, and then install it.
