While replacing my water temp sender, I broke off the bottom piece of the valve. Top tube is still attached. Will this affect driving? What does it even do?

lol thats exactly what i broke a couple months ago, i broke both tubes off and just electrical taped em shut. it does nothing. Probably increases fuel economy by .1 mpg and emissions by little.

you could go to a junk yard and get one for cheap, but toyota will charge you almost 100 bucks.
