 What could cause my upper radiator hose to expand like this? |

 Anyone have an idea as to why my radiator hose is expanding like this? I just recently had a coolant flush done by Toyota, as well as a water pump and timing belt. Now today I noticed my temperature gauge was just barely above half, so I looked under the hood and noticed that this hose was slightly expanded. Could it be that I need a new thermostat? -Matt |

its old, thats why. rubber doesnt last forever you know! theres 12-15psi on that hose everytime you drive the car, pretty much the whole time you drive the car, not to mention its over 200F of heat at 13psi.
change both hoses before the ballooning one breaks open and leaves you stranded. use new clamps also please. -------------------- |
