I Still think that the Impreza's and Evo's of THAT time would be less or equal to the Celica GT4. Of course a 2005 WRX STI would whoop a ST205 all day.

But both the Impreza and Evo didn't have that much power out of there consumer cars as the Toyota.

I drove BOTH (either EVO 4 or STi Ver 4 / 5) not even comparible cars to the GT-Four. STi has way more Power, JDM version came with the 280hp and 340Nm stock, and its lighter (if we take a RA version), Evo - is another story - it would be still questionable who would win - but i would bet on EVo...

IMHO - GT-Four is way to heavy for the power that it has...

i think the real problem is that the ct20b is not as powerful of a turbo as what you get stock on the evo or sti. upgrade the turbo and the car will feel a lot lighter.

Might be... Never drove a Swaped celica - but i compare GT4 to a SSIII - SSIII does feel more quicker reacting car, and you can feel the road more in it, same thing in a STi - its just feels like you and a Car is one piece. I Couldnt find this feeling in a GT-four (even that i drove 5 diferent ones / modded and stock), this is the main reason im all over agains the GT-Four - its just not the right car FOR ME, and i give all of my voices to a N/A celica or if i would go Turbo - i would chose the STi (even if its a car without the face). And this might not be cuz of the Turbo, its cuz of overall setup of the car / weight transfering / weight of the car...

GT-Four is GT-Four - car with its own personality...

Just a simple comparison that me and my friend did:

From rolling start SSIII and a GTfour (i was driving GT-Four, a friend of mine - my SSIII witch wasnt so stock but anyway):

2 gear / SSIII was at 4K rpms, GT4 on 3K rpms - Not even single chance to overtake SSIII till the end of 3 gear...

From Standing start - GT4 goes in front by 1 car lenght - and stays like this all the 400meter...

I saw this my self - and i could not belive it - cuz driving SSIII doesnt feels like it has this kind of power to keep up with the GT4....
