okay i have a set of eibach sportlines....just wondering if there is a proper or improper way to cut them??...will it throw off some kind of balance on them or they wont ride properly anymore....well hope u guys can help...THANKS!!!

I'd recommend NOT cutting the springs... I did this on my H&R's and Eibachs... because I wasn't happy with the drop... and let me just say that cutting half a coil WILL cause clanking... you may not have problems cutting the rear... but cutting the fronts will cause problems...
The first time I cut my springs (H&R's), I cut from the bottom... which wasn't too bad... but then I bought a whole set of Eibachs... and cut from the top... and it was worse... just pulling out of the driveway... you could hear CLINK * CLANK * CLINK * CLANK... So I ended up going to a shop and had them make me custom springs with a custom drop ... mind you... this was before there wasn't anything lower than 1.25" But if you want to be daring ... go for it... I'm just telling you know that Celica springs are designed differently... |
