EST: 8PM
She purrs again. Stronger than before from what I remember. Still on jacks we ran through the gears. The drop light on the ground flashes as the spokes of the 5Zigen FN01RC rotates faster. What a beautiful show. Off the stands, all the fluids are checked. Minor smoke from the soaked exhaust flange courtesy of the PB Blaster. Oil is clean, fresh Toyota Red with a touch of Water Wetter runs through the cooling system. New Mobil 1 Oil lubricates the transmission gears. The AEM Intake whistles happily as the engine is freely rev'd. After we shut it down, fluid levels are checked. All up to standards. Temperature was good. Gas gauge is full, a rare moment. As we restart a THUD appears. Doh! The damn engine hoist mount. Removal wasn't an option the bolt is too close to the exhuast manifold, which is hotter than normal because of the missing heat shields. That step is for tommorow.. Now Food and Homework. I'll provide a sound clip tommorow. |
