Hi,
Currently, my car is torn apart and I'm trying to remove the stock shifter so that I can install the TRD QuickShifter. I've almost got the old assembly out, but I can't figure out how to remove the two shift cables that are marked in the photo below.

If anyone knows how to get these out of the old shifter assembly(and install them in the new shifter), I'd really, really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the help! I gave up on this mod for a little while though. frown.gif I got the cables off of the shift levers, and I got the clips off that hold the shift cables, but then I couldn't get the shifter assembly out, no matter what I tried. I figured that I'm gonna have to remove the knee panels that are to the sides of the shifter in order to get it out, but it looks like that involves removal of the a/c controls, and a tool that can get that screw out that's next to the seats(I couldn't get a ratchet or a screwdriver in there.) I didn't have time or the tools to do this yesterday because I had to make it to my friend's garage to install my springs and struts, so I had to put everything back together so I could drive over there. Sometime maybe I'll install it when I've got lots of time. Does anyone know how hard it is to take out the a/c controls that are connected to those knee panels?
