the refresh rate seems to be stuck at 60htz. i need help changing this to 85, in xorg.conf the other problem is that i installed the ati driver through the installer app, but my xorg file still reports a generic vesa driver. how do i force it to use the ati one? -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

QUOTE(lagos @ Nov 17, 2007 - 12:00 PM) i have ubuntu 7.10 installed. i need help with my display settings. the refresh rate seems to be stuck at 60htz. i need help changing this to 85, in xorg.conf the other problem is that i installed the ati driver through the installer app, but my xorg file still reports a generic vesa driver. how do i force it to use the ati one? Have you try unsing PowerStrip? Thats is probably the best display tweak software, allows you to change refresh rate by 1 MHz increasement. FOr the driver you might wanna uninstall the driver in Device Manager then re-install it manually. Hope that helps. -------------------- ![]() 98% completion --- aaRon |
