Eh...this sucks, got the 3SGTE and since it won't pass smog and it seemed we were going to have some complications in putting it in, I decided to give it up and just put the Burrien turbo onto the 5SFE.
I think I would need metal head gasket, FMIC, Forged Pistons, and camshafts for going high hp? Where can I get the cam shafts and forged pistons. Is webcams cam shaft good for the turbo kit I want? Thanks |

REally? IT won't pass smog visually? or the sniffer way? It doesn't say for off-road/show use only....on the site
On the burrien website it even says this, "You now have a sports car capable of running with most of today’s sports cars costing $30,000 to $40,000, and it was done at a fraction of that price" Doesn't that imply street? I am not really sure, but if that won't pass smog then...dunno what to do. THE MAIN THING FOR THE 3SGTE WAS THAT BOTH MECHANICS DID NOT RECCOMEND IT, AND THE MECHANIC WHO IS GOING TO DO IT FOR ME IS PRETTY INEXPERIENCED WITH THIS STUFF & SORTA SEEMED LIKE HE WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME ON IT. Also if I go with 3SGTE I am having a hard time finding a good transmission for it? |
